Description of Position

Delivery Drivers

Reports to:

 

  • Restaurant Manager / Assistant Manager.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Make deliveries of our product to residential and commercial locations.
  • Learn the names and personally recognize our regulars.
  • Cross-train for other positions as needed such as phone order taker and order preparation.
  • Punch in and out delivery orders accurately and immediately after receipt and delivery into POS system.
  • Communicate with coworkers, counter persons and management.
  • Accept customer payment, process credit card charges and make change, if applicable.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
  • Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to manager.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Follow all restaurant regulations.
  • Control and limit waste.
  • Communicate problems and ideas to management.
  • Maintain all kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Assist in the restocking and replenishment of product and supplies as stipulated in shift duties.
  • Follow proper rotation procedures.
  • Follow the recipes to meet the restaurant's standards.
  • Be a team player support and assist your fellow team members whenever possible.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
  • Be able to prioritize best routing for more than one delivery at a time.
  • Assist Restaurant manager to develop, plan and carry out restaurant marketing, advertising and promotional activities and campaigns.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent desired but not essential for prep area.
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a minimum of 2 years driving record.
  • Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.
  • Possess suitable communication skills to create a positive interaction experience with our customers.
  • Possess a valid state driver's license.
  • Have use of a properly maintained, licensed, insured and street legal vehicle capable of driving up to 200 miles per day.
  • Maintain minimal or higher insurance coverage as mandated by state law.
  • Maintain acceptable driving record as stipulated by company policy or insurance carrier.
  • Be capable of reading a map (or GPS System) and interpreting written directions.
  • Be able to work in a sifting-while-driving, standing, and walking position with frequent changes between positions.
  • Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must have the ability to lift, stoop and bend.
  • Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, products, and other items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
